What type of training do you provide to teachers and staff?
I provide professional development and training to school teams on the legal mandates of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and LRE (Least Restrictive Environment) as well current research on inclusive practices. I also provide teams with information on the history of inclusion for students with disabilities in addition to inclusion from a social justice perspective.

I provide direct support to school teams with the development of curricular modifications based on individual student needs. I also provide support to teams on the development of meaningful peer supports.

I work collaboratively with districts to improve learning opportunities and outcomes for students with disabilities by improving access to general education curriculum and facilitating active participation in the general education classroom. This impacts the culture of the school community by ensuring that all students are active and engaged learners.
